About YES ON 2:
Proposal 2 gets corporate money out of politics in Michigan.
This election, all Michigan voters will have the opportunity to vote YES on Proposal 2 to prohibit monopoly utilities and big government contractors from contributing to state officeholders and political party committees.
Michigan’s government should work for the people – not the corporations it regulates or gives taxpayer-funded contracts to.
Michiganders for Money Out of Politics (MMOP) is a grassroots, nonpartisan campaign working to reduce corporate influence in Michigan politics and bring greater transparency to our elections. After collecting more than half a million signatures from Michiganders across the state, Proposal 2 is officially on voters’ November 2026 ballot. Proposal 2, if passed by a simple majority vote, would:
1. Stop pay-to-play politics.
Proposal 2 cracks down on pay-to-play politics and a system where career politicians trade favors and government contracts for campaign cash from monopoly utility companies and big government contractors.
2. Get money out of politics.
Proposal 2 prohibits monopoly utilities (like DTE & Consumers Energy) and big government contractors (like Blue Cross Blue Shield) from donating to politicians who regulate them and hand out their contracts.
3. Shine a light on dark money.
Proposal 2 stops big donors from hiding who they are so voters know who’s paying to influence Michigan’s elections.
Michigan’s democracy shouldn't be for sale to the highest bidder.
